Peddler

3:33 minutes (4.06 MB)

Peddler is the theme to the movie, "Planet" directed by Kohta Asakura.

The masterful Nate Boguzweski played drums on the track as well as added some crazy tibetan sitar-ish sound and the audio magician Fritz mastered the track. It's a family affair ladies and gents.

Oh and the pic was created by the lovely Sandra Wang and myself. We threw the camera in the air and had it rapid fire shots.

Photostuttering

6:36 minutes (7.57 MB)

Photostuttering is a piece for full orchestra that was performed in March of 2005. The piece is my first foray into collage/deconstructionalist tecniques. Sit back and pretend you're taking acid.

The pic is of my BFF Frankie Guevara, in a state of cataclymatic vertigo.

Gone in 60 Seconds

1:03 minutes (1.21 MB)

This is for those of you interested in what I did over at Mike Post Productions. The song aptly titled, "Gone in 60 seconds" was created as part of a series of mock main titles that Mike Post had me work on to test versatility and how I work under time constraints. The treatment for this particular theme was as follows:

Not Not Music - Semantics

8:57 minutes (10.26 MB)

This piece was written for Lisa Moore and is a part of a collection of pieces that I hope to do under the title Not Not Music. The idea came to me from an x buddy who was an architecture student and spoke about how a few professors at Columbia were playing around with the idea of Not Not architecture.

The explanation went as follows:

Triste

5:37 minutes (6.43 MB)

So, this is the earliest work I got. I don't think it's that bad either. But, I'll tell you that this track has been switched over from computer to computer to computer and now kind of sounds 'artifacted', if you know what I mean.

Peddler (opening credit version)

1:30 minutes (1.72 MB)

So this version of Peddler sounds more Japanese to me. In some ways I like it better than the full version of the song. What do you think?

The 'thank yous' for the full version of Peddler apply here as well.

Nintendo Norteña

1:53 minutes (2.16 MB)

Now for some comedy my friends. This song was intended to be the opening credit to a short I did called, Hardly Married. Eventually the director wanted to go a more commercial route but a lot of people like my original music better and it even found its way into some art exhibit in San Francisco.
